MTZ Screed Cape Flooring is a specialist flooring contractor in the Western Cape, laying modern colour screed and decorative floor systems for architects, interior designers and homeowners.
Every floor we lay is mixed, poured and finished by hand — a deliberate choice that lets us control colour depth, surface texture and edge detail in ways no automated system can.

Most homes take two to four days from preparation to sealing. You'll get a full timeline before we start.

Site visit & quote
We assess the substrate, measure up and talk through colour and finish. Quotes are free across Cape Town and the Western Cape.

Preparation
Grinding, crack repair and priming. Most of a floor's lifespan is decided here, before any colour goes down.

Pour & hand-finish
Mixed on site and trowelled by our own team, so we control colour depth, texture and edge detail.

Seal & handover
A protective sealer in matte, satin or gloss, with care guidance so the floor keeps its finish.

What is colour screed flooring?
Colour screed is a seamless, pigmented cement-based floor finish applied at 3–6mm. It creates a smooth, contemporary surface in a wide range of colours and is ideal for open-plan living spaces, offices, and retail environments.
How long does colour screed take to install?
Most residential installations take 2–4 days including preparation, application, and sealing. Larger commercial projects may take 5–10 days. We provide a full timeline estimate before starting.
Is colour screed suitable for wet areas?
Yes — when sealed with our waterproof topcoat, colour screed is suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, and outdoor covered areas. We apply a penetrating sealer that protects against moisture and staining.
Which areas of Cape Town do you serve?
